Vancouver, BC, Canada, February 9, 2021, Xebra Brands Ltd. (“Xebra”) is pleased to announce that Harry von Duijne has joined Xebra as Director of Operations in Holland, on a full-time basis.

Xebra has been selected by the Dutch government, out of a competitive pool of applicants, as one of five companies to compete for two exclusive licenses to cultivate medicinal cannabis in the Netherlands, with an initial six-year guaranteed contract for each successful party, estimated at €70.5 million.

Mr. Harry von Duijne is an experienced cannabis horticulture expert with more than two decades of practicing horticulture. He had a leading role at Bedrocan NL from 2014 and 2017, where he was responsible for managing every aspect of operations of a state-of-the-art cannabis facility, from construction through cultivation and processing, quality management, and GMP certification.

Bedrocan produces medicinal-grade cannabis under contract for the Dutch Ministry of Health as the only licensed producer in the Netherlands, and for many years was the only licenced producer in all of Europe. Under the Ministry’s medicinal cannabis program, Bedrocan produces standardized herbal cannabis, which is available in Dutch pharmacies on prescription. The Ministry also exports Bedrocan produced cannabis for medicinal use to Australia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Israel, Italy, Macedonia, Austria, Poland and the Czech Republic, and to authorized buyers globally.

After leaving Bedrocan, Mr. von Duijne consulted for a number of cannabis producers worldwide, assisting clients in obtaining licences and producing the highest quality of independent-laboratory-tested medicinal cannabis. Mr. von Duijne is responsible for all of Xebra’s activities in Holland.
